18 KOMPAKT Gewinneinbruch beim Zementkonzern Holcim ZÜRICH - Der Zementkonzern Holcim hat im letzten Jahr einen Gewinncinbnich hin­ nehmen müssen. Sonderfaktoren, der starke Franken und der schwache Dollar hinterlies- sen tiefe Spuren in der Rechnung. Für die Zukunft bleibt Holcim trotz konjunktureller Fragezeichen zuversichtlich. Der Konzern­ gewinn sei um 37.7 Prozent auf 506 Mio. Fr. eingebrochen, gab Holcim am Mittwoch in einem Communique bekannt. Der starke Rückgang sei die Folge einmaliger Sonder- einflüsse, sagte Finanzchef Theophil Schlat­ ter an der Bilanzmedienkonferenz, in Zürich. So habe Holcim 120 Mio. Fr. für das hängi­ ge Bussgeldverfahren in Deutschland zurückgestellt. Das deutsche Bundeskartell­ amt untersucht bei rund 30 deutschen Zementherstellern mögliche Marktverstösse in den 90er-Jahren. Betroffen sind auch die beiden Holcim-Gesellschaften Alscn in Hamburg sowie Holcim Baden-Würtemberg mit Sitz, in Weil am Rhein. Die Untersu­ chung nähere sich dem Abschluss, sagte Konzernchef Markus Akermann: «Wir gehen aufgrund von Gesprächen davon aus. dass wir einen Bussgeldbescheid bekom­ men.» Alsc'n habe entschieden, 80 Mio. Euro zurückzustellen. . Bei Holcim Baden- Württemberg müsse dagegen mit keinem Bussgeld gerechnet werden, sagte Aker­ mann. Der Konzern habe Massnahmen getroffen, um ein «korrektes» Verhalten am Markt sicherzustellen. Vor zwei bis drei Jah­ ren sei die ganze Führung in Deutschland ausgewechselt worden. Ausserdem wurden Abschreibungungen von 94 Mio. Fr. für stillgelegte Anlagen in Argentinien und das Engagement bei der Fluggesellschaft Swiss getätigt. 
20 Millionen pro Jahr Schweizer Spitzenverdiener - Vasella, Ospel und Brabeck ZÜRICH - UBS-Präsident Marcel Ospel belegt nach Novartis- Chef Daniel Vasella den Platz 2 der Schweizer Manager-Lohn- Hitparade. Mit 12,5 Mio. Fr. gabs für Ospel trotz der Gewinneinbusse bei der UBS keine Lohneinbusse. Die UBS entlöhnte Ospel letztes Jahr mit 1 1,3 Mio. Franken, darin enthalten sind 75 155 gesperrte UBS-Aktien im Wert von insge­ samt 4,6 Mio. Franken, wie aus dem am Mittwoch publizierten UBS-Geschäftsbericht hervorgeht. Als «langfristigen Leistungsan­ reiz» habe Ospel zusätzlich 75 000 UBS-Optionen mit einem Wert von 1,2 Mio. Fr. erhalten. Im Jahr 2001 - als Ospels Entschädigung wegen dem Gewinnrückrückgang 33 Pro­ zent tiefer ausgefallen war - sei 
keine solche Vergütung erfolgt, heisst es. Zusammengerechnet ist Ospels Gesamtlohn 2002 mit 12,5 Mio. Fr. somit gleich hoch wie im Vorjahr- dies trotz einem Gewinneinbruch von 29 Prozent. Der Banker bezieht damit zwar einen Schwei­ zer Spitzenlohn, verdient aber deutlich weniger als Novartis-Chef Daniel Vasella, der in bar und in Wertpapieren rund 20 Mio: Fr. kas­ sierte. Gemäss den nach den neuen Bör- senrichtlinien erfolgten Gehalts- offenlcgungen belegt Nestld-Chef Peter Brabeck mit 8,1 Mio. Fr. Lohn den dritten Platz auf der Lohn-Hitparade. Darauf folgen Rochc-Chef Franz Humer (7,5 Mio. Fr.). ABB-Chcf Jürgen Dor- mann (4 Mio. Fr.) und Swisscom-Chef 
Jens Alder (1,8 Mio. Fran­ ken). Schwieriger zu errechnen sind die Einzelgehälter der Gcschäfts- leitungs- und Verwaltungsratsmit­ glieder ohne Doppelmandat. Die neue Richtlinie verlangt nämlich nur die Publikation des höchsten Verwaltungsrats-Honorars. 
UBS-Geschäftsleitungsvorsit- zender Peter Wuffli und neun wei­ tere Geschäftslciter sowie die drei volfamtlichen Verwaltungsratsmit­ glieder Ospel, Alberto Togni und Johannes de Gier bezogen eine Barkomponente (Basissalär und Baranteil Bonus) von insgesamt 89,5 Mio. Franken. Die beiden Spitzenverdiener unter den Schweizer Managern: Daniel Vasella (links) und Marcel Ospelt.
